Hello from Heroes Unbound!
We are all the heroes. Every parent that provides for their children, every person who cares for a child that may not be their own blood relation, the children that give us purpose and meaning, the case managers that facilitate life changing benefits, and anyone striving for a better future by investing in a child; all heroes.
There are many things that bind people. It may be feeling so tied to the daily responsibilities of caring for others that they neglect their own self care. It could be having an inflexible work schedule, not knowing what resources are available, or even just feeling like you’re going through things alone. It could be one parent doing the care giving normally done by two, or feeling like you don’t know your child anymore when they are going through a new change. Being unbound is the first step to freedom from those things. We are unbound to find and work for that freedom for each other.
We view these relationships like putting together a puzzle. Just because two pieces don’t fit together, that doesn’t make them bad pieces. Finding the right caregiver to work with a child is more than just finding someone to do it, it’s finding someone that fits correctly and not settling until we have found the perfect fit. The child, caregiver, parent/guardian, and even the company itself need to be the right fit for all. If the client or child doesn’t think the caregiver is right, we try again. If the caregiver doesn’t feel that they are the right person to provide care for the child, we try again. If we have found the right caregiver and child relationship, but Heroes Unbound is no longer seen as the right fit, we let it go. None of the caregivers employed by Heroes Unbound will be bound by a non- compete contract. If we aren’t taking care of our clients and our caregivers, they need to be with someone that can. We will not ruin a healthy working relationship because of any personal grievances. This is integrity.
